Field Supervisor - Telecommunications Operations & Maintenance

At Service Stream , we're looking for an experienced Field Supervisor to lead a team of nbn technicians across our Operations & Maintenance portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on telecommunications leader who thrives in the field, enjoys developing people, and is passionate about safety, customer outcomes and network performance.

n

As a highly visible leader, you'll spend the majority of your time supporting technicians in the field, managing escalations, improving performance, and ensuring delivery against critical network and service KPIs.

n

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of telecommunications technicians
n
- Driving safety culture through toolbox talks, coaching, field observations and compliance activities
n
- Managing workforce scheduling, resource allocation and daily operational delivery
n
- Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), quality outcomes and customer experience measures
n
- Providing field‑based technical support and escalation management
n
- Conducting quality audits and ensuring work is completed to contractual and network standards
n
- Building robust relationships with customers,



client representatives, local authorities and internal stakeholders
n
- Identifying training opportunities and implementing performance improvement initiatives
n
- Supporting the delivery of reliable network outcomes while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
n

What we're looking for

n

You may currently be a Team Leader, Senior Technician, Workforce Supervisor or Field Supervisor within telecommunications and are ready to take the next step in your leadership career.

n

To be successful, you'll bring:

n

n
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing field‑based teams
n
- Telecommunications industry experience, ideally within nbn , fixed line, copper, fibre, maintenance or fault restoration environments
n
- Strong understanding of operational KPIs, quality assurance and customer service delivery
n
- Experience coaching technicians and driving team performance
n
- The ability to confidently manage technical escalations and complex field issues
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement
n
