Valentinos Italian Restaurant is seeking enthusiastic and professional Waitstaff, Food Runners, and Bar Staff to join our team on a casual basis. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant hospitality environment where you'll deliver exceptional service to our valued guests. Based in Broadbeach, QLD, this casual position offers flexibility whilst being part of a dynamic restaurant team dedicated to providing authentic Italian dining experiences.

What you'll be doing n

As Waitstaff, Food Runners, or Bar Staff, you will be responsible for creating memorable experiences for our guests through attentive and professional service. Depending on your role, your key responsibilities may include:

Greeting and seating guests in a warm and welcoming manner

n

Taking accurate food and beverage orders whilst providing knowledgeable recommendations

n

Delivering food and beverages promptly and professionally to tables

n

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation in dining and bar areas

n

Processing payments and handling cash transactions accurately

n

Clearing and resetting tables between seatings

n

Operating bar equipment and preparing drinks to specification where required

n

Responding to guest requests and resolving any service issues with professionalism and courtesy

n

Collaborating with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow

n

Adhering to health, safety, and food handling standards

What we're looking for n

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills, qualifications, and experience:

n

Previous experience in a waitstaff, food running, or bar service role, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting

n

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and colleagues

n





Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

n

Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude and appearance

n

A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service excellence

n

Basic knowledge of food and beverage offerings and menu items

n

Physical fitness and ability to remain on your feet for extended periods

n

Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is advantageous

n

Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification or willingness to obtain it

n

Ability to work in a quick-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
