THE POSITION

Drive International Growth with Hendrickson!

We are seeking an experienced Segment Development Manager – Export Markets to help drive growth across Asia-Pacific and other targeted international markets.

Reporting to the Executive Manager – Product & Market Development, you will identify current market opportunities, develop growth strategies, build relationships with customers and industry stakeholders, and support the expansion of Hendrickson's presence across export markets.

Your key responsibilities to support Hendrickton’s growth strategy include but are not limited to:

Identify, assess and prioritise growth opportunities across targeted export markets including Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, Indonesia and other strategic regions.

Develop market entry strategies, business cases and growth plans to support sustainable international growth.

Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, dealers, fleet operators and key industry stakeholders.

Conduct market, customer and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, risks and portfolio gaps.

Develop and maintain a qualified pipeline of commercial opportunities across targeted countries and market segments.

Support product localisation, validation, commercialisation and product launch activities to meet regional market requirements.

Monitor regulatory, tariff, economic and industry developments that may impact growth opportunities.

Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing and Operations teams to develop market-specific value propositions and go-to-market strategies.





Conduct voice-of-customer research and customer discovery activities to better understand market needs and emerging trends.

Represent Hendrickson at customer meetings, trade shows, industry forums and regional events.

Prepare market assessments, strategic recommendations, reports and presentations for senior leadership.

Travel domestically and internationally to develop customer relationships, generate market intelligence and support business development initiatives.

Maintain accurate records of opportunities, projects and market activities while ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards and safety requirements.

ABOUT YOU

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Commerce, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years' experience in business development, export market development, strategic sales, or product management.

Proven success growing business in international markets.

Strong commercial, analytical, and strategic planning skills.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capability.

Ability to work across cultures, markets, and time zones.

Willingness to travel internationally.

Knowledge of commercial vehicles or heavy transport industry (desirable)
