South Sydney offers a well-rounded, balanced education that offers outstanding opportunities through to the HSC and beyond, including well-established student leadership programs, a dynamic Student Representative Council (SRC) and an active Prefect body.
Co-curricular activities provide opportunities for students to excel and develop their talents. This includes an extensive music program,
a High Potential and Gifted Education Program and other enrichment opportunities for students.
South Sydney High School works towards creating a framework that encompasses the broad range of curriculum requirements in each KLA and embeds quality teaching practices.
Teachers are given the opportunity to use a range of evidence-based teaching practices in their classrooms to support successful student learning across a broad range of areas. Students are able to develop their knowledge, understanding and skills effectively across all KLA's and Big Picture Academies to ensure individual success.
School resources are strategically aligned to maximise impact across the school in the three strategic directions and to foster a culture of continuous improvement. The TAS faculty buildings have been fully renovated providing the most current technologies are available to staff and students.
