About us

Ozanimart is a Melbourne wholesale distributor of trading card games. We supply more than 600 stores across Australia and New Zealand, and we're the official distributor for Bushiroad. Our TCG events cover Cardfight!! Vanguard, Weiss Schwarz and Palworld. Small team, growing.

About the role

You’ll run our TCG events and grow the player communities around them: Bushiroad pre-releases, tournaments and championships, and regular events in partner stores. It's a high-ownership role. You plan the calendar, get the kits out, keep stores and Bushiroad in the loop, and make sure every event runs on the day, in Melbourne and interstate.

What you'll do

- Plan and run Bushiroad-sanctioned events: pre-releases, store tournaments, championships
- Support partner stores in establishing and growing regular events while tracking attendance and engagement.
- Recruit, brief and roster event volunteers, and keep them coming back
- Ensure promotional materials and event kits are delivered to stores on time for each release.
- Be the main contact for store owners and Bushiroad on organised play
- Post events and results on our socials, working with our marketing team
- Identify and resolve unexpected issues during events to ensure smooth operations.
- Review event outcomes, gather feedback and implement improvements for future events.

What we’re looking for

- You’ve organised events, and you plan them on paper, not in your head. We’ll ask to see a run sheet or checklist you’ve used. TCG organised play is ideal but not essential
- You’ve managed volunteers or casual helpers, and they knew exactly what to do on the day
- Store owners and players like dealing with you, including when the news is bad
- When event day goes sideways (kits late, a store cancels, 40 players waiting) you stay calm, fix it and keep people informed
- You take feedback and actually change how you work.

We’ll test this, and we’ll ask your referees
- You turn up, deliver what you said you would, and tell us early when something’s slipping
- You know Vanguard, Weiss Schwarz, Palworld or other trading card games, or you’ll learn them fast
- You hold a valid driver’s licence and are available for occasional weekend work (with time off in lieu of the week) and interstate travel.

What we offer

- The opportunity to organise and deliver official events for trading card games you’re passionate about.
- A genuine opportunity to contribute ideas and shape the growth of our events program.
