Aury NHL is growing rapidly and is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the design, development, testing and continuous improvement of our NTE and TR series electric and mechanical drive off-highway vehicles. You will work with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, reliable, and practical mechanical solutions for heavy mining equipment.

In addition to providing mechanical engineering expertise, this role will liaise regularly with our Chinese parent company, therefore the successful candidate must be fluent in both English and Mandarin language.

Tasks & responsibilities n

- Develop and modify mechanical designs for mine truck components, including chassis, suspension, drivetrain, cooling systems and structural assemblies.

- Prepare accurate 3D models, engineering drawings, specifications and bills of materials.
n
- Undertake engineering calculations and support FEA, fatigue and thermal analysis under appropriate technical guidance.
n
- Review designs for safety, functionality, manufacturability, serviceability, reliability and cost-effectiveness.
n




- Assist with prototype builds, inspections, commissioning and field testing.
n
- Support fault finding, root-cause investigations and approved corrective actions.
n
- Work closely with electrical, hydraulic, manufacturing, service and supplier stakeholders.
n
- Maintain clear engineering records, risk assessments, design documentation and version control.
n

Qualifications & experience nn
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineer or closely related discipline
n
- Practical mechanical engineering experience, ideally in heavy equipment, mining or industrial environment.
n
- Project management and commercial tender experience desirable.
n
- Experience using 3D CAD software and producing engineering drawings.
n
- Sound understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing methods.
n
- Strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
n
- Explicit communication skills, with fluency in both English and Mandarin.
n
- Ability to manage allocated tasks, meet deadlines, and seek guidance when required.
