Position: 2 x Permanent Part-Time OSHC Assistants / Relief Coordinators (2IC/3IC)

Location: Bangalow Public School OSHC

Hours: School terms - 20 to 25 hours per week and up to 38 hours during Vacation Care.

Days: Monday to Friday

Northern Rivers Children’s Services (NRCS) is growing — and we’re thrilled to expand our Bangalow Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) program! We’re on the lookout for enthusiastic, caring, and creative 2 x Assistants / Relief Coordinators to join our vibrant team.

? What You’ll Do

As part of our OSHC team, you’ll help deliver a high-quality, inclusive program that children look forward to every day. You’ll:

- Create fun, age-appropriate experiences that spark imagination and confidence.

- Ensure every child’s safety, wellbeing, and sense of belonging.

- Build positive relationships with children, families, and school staff.

- Set up and pack away activities, keeping spaces tidy and welcoming.

- Support coordination tasks and uphold NRCS and school policies.

- Assist with record keeping and compliance in line with the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the My Time Our Place framework.

⏰ Position Details

- Before School Care: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM

- After School Care 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (approximately)

- Vacation Care: Up to 8 hours per day (preferred but not essential)

- Total Contracted Hours: 20 - 25 hours per week

- Pay Rate:



$26.14 – $36.27 /hour (based on qualifications & experience)

- Worker Retention Allowance: $3.92 – $5.44/hour

- Broken Shift Allowance: $21.38/day

- Flexibility: Occasional shifts at other NRCS services (Coordinator pay rates apply for responsible person duties).

? About You

You’re someone who brings energy, empathy, and initiative to every shift. You’ll have:

- A current Working with Children Check

- Experience working with or caring for children

- First Aid, CPR and Child Protection certifications

- National Police Check (no more than 6 months old)

- Completed or willing to complete the Child Safe (Gekko) training

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for creating safe, inclusive, and engaging environments
- A good level of fitness to join in active play and outdoor fun!

- Basic computer skills and attention to detail

References from two relevant referees will be required.
