Access Adventure Club is on a mission to connect young people with nature, to improve the wellbeing of our next generation! We predominantly achieve this through delivering our Accessible Adventures programs for young people with disabilities - through our new brand, Access Adventure Club!

We have been in operation for over 10 years, and are leaders in a uniquely positioned niche that falls between outdoor education, disability support and tourism in Australia. We currently have a team of 13 full time staff, 5 permanent part time, and approximately 70 contractors on our across Australia.

Our 6 core values (that we live and breath):

1. We resonate good vibes

2. We are hungry to contribute the company's purpose

3. We are highly organised and disciplined

4. We are adaptable to change

5. We are optimists, with can-do attitudes

6. We see challenge as an chance for personal growth

We are a for-purpose company that takes pride in our engaging work culture and positive working environment. Our positive workplace culture practices have been specifically built with WFH team members in mind. Things like twice-weekly whole team meditations, as well as a yearly annual retreat (face-to-face in SE Asia, fully paid for) are the type of initiatives that have contributed to a very low attrition rate - and high staff satisfaction.

Our focus on company culture is a strategic focus, that is guided by the belief that as a service-based business, our focus on culture allows our people to be happy, productive and ultimately deliver the best possible experience for the families we serve.

Role Description:

This is a remote, work from home (WFH) role, that can be based anywhere in Australia (we currently have staff in most states across Australia). This role is 5 hours per day, and can be done within school hours, from home. You'll work in the finance team alongside our fulltime Bookkeeper, and under the leadership of our Finance Manager.

You'll work closely with our Finance Manager, Bookkeeper, Sales Team and Programming Delivery Team to maintain accurate financial records while delivering exceptional customer service to participants, families and Plan Managers. You'll support the organisation by ensuring invoicing complies with NDIS Pricing Schedules and Guidelines, participant Service Agreements, and internal financial procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue accounts in line with company procedures.

- Liaise professionally with participants, families, Plan Managers and Support Coordinators to resolve billing enquiries.

- Establish and monitor approved payment arrangements where required.

- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with NDIS requirements, company policies and privacy legislation.

- Support continuous improvement of Accounts Receivable processes and maintain high standards of accuracy and customer service.

Role Purpose:

Frankly, this role is a about much more than just executing the key responsibilities as outlined above. The very heart of this role extends to protecting families that have been caught up in the NDIS whirlwind - which prevents them from accessing the disability supports they already have funding for. Through our Financial Protection Guarantee, this role goes into battle for the families that we serve, and helps to protect families from personal financial liability for outstanding invoices which we believe should be covered by their NDIS plans.

The families we serve are often especially vulnerable for multiple reasons, and this role supports their right to access disability supports that have been allocated to them.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable, Finance Administration or Bookkeeping role.

- Experience using Xero or similar accounting software.

- A desire for justice, and to be purpose-driven

- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

- Overall, contribute to the company mission of connecting of young people with nature, to improve the wellbeing of our next generation.

- Be part of an already unique company culture that offers (fully funded) overseas company retreats annually in South East Asia for 1 week, team meditation sessions each Monday and Friday and a company culture that cares about wellbeing, staff recognition, and outcomes based work-flexibility and autonomy.

- Work From Home (during your time zone's school hours, if beneficial) - save on fuel costs, but most importantly get more time being present for your loved ones, instead of sitting in traffic!

The role is a permanent part-time opportunity (approximately 25 hours per week, 5 days/week). However for the right candidate we can accommodate more or less hours if requested, and flexible working arrangements.

Renumeration:

The role has a full time equivalent salary of $65K per year . At 25 hours per week (~0.65 FTE) the successful candidate can expect to receive ~$42.5k per year superannuation. The role's primary value does not come from the pay rate - it comes from the WFH part time setup, the company culture, the flexibility, and impact you'll be able to make to the lives of so many families across Australia.

How to Apply:

Please email your application to *@AccessAdventureClub.com.au with the subject line “Accounts Receivable Officer – (your name)”. In your application, attach a copy of your CV and a brief cover letter that addresses why you believe you would be an exceptional candidate for the role.
