Conplant Group Holdings is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team.

This is an opportunity for an accountant who wants more than a list of transactions and month-end tasks. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of outcomes, understands why the numbers matter and is comfortable identifying issues, solving problems and improving the way Finance supports the business.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will play an important role in ensuring the organisation's financial information is accurate, timely and reliable.

You will have accountability across core financial accounting, payroll, compliance, financial controls, banking, inter-company transactions, budgeting and management support and the opportunity to identify and implement improvements that make our Finance function more productive, effective and resilient.

What you'll be accountable for

· Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting and month-end outcomes.

· Maintaining the integrity of general ledger, balance sheet and intercompany accounts.

· Ensuring payroll and associated employee payments are accurate and delivered on time.

· Supporting BAS, taxation, audit and other statutory obligations.

· Maintaining effective financial controls and identifying financial risks early.

· Managing banking, payment and intercompany accounting requirements.

· Supporting budgeting, variance analysis and financial decision-making.

· Providing practical and responsive financial support to managers across the business.

· Identifying and implementing improvements to Finance processes.

· Contributing to a collaborative and high-performing Finance team.

About you





You'll be a commercially minded accountant who combines technical accounting capability with ownership and initiative.

You will

· have relevant accounting qualifications or be progressing towards them;

· have solid commercial accounting experience;

· understand the importance of accurate and timely financial information;

· be confident with reconciliations, month-end and financial reporting;

· have experience with payroll and statutory requirements;

· be comfortable investigating discrepancies and getting to the root cause;

· communicate clearly with both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders;

· take responsibility for seeing issues through to resolution; and

· look for better ways of doing things rather than simply accepting "the way we've always done it."

Experience in a multi-entity, construction and compaction environment would be highly advantageous.
