About the role

We are looking for a hands-on Accountant to manage the end-to-end finance function for a growing entity. This is a broad role covering transactional accounting, payroll, month-end, reporting, tax compliance, cash flow, budgeting and audit support. The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the full finance cycle.

Key responsibilities

- Manage month-end close, journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Consolidation and management reporting
- Manage accounts payable, supplier payments and supplier reconciliations
- Manage accounts receivable, customer invoicing, collections and debtor ageing
- Process and reconcile payroll, Entitlement reconciliation, superannuation, PAYG and payroll tax
- Prepare BAS, GST reconciliations and support other tax and statutory requirements
- Manage bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting and day-to-day treasury activities
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations with NGIS Group & CLS Group entities
- Prepare audit schedules and respond to Group auditor requirements

About you

- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- CPA/CA qualified or working towards qualification preferred
- 3–5+ years' accounting experience
- Strong end-to-end accounting experience




- Experience with month-end, AP, AR, payroll and balance sheet reconciliations
- Positive understanding of Australian GST, BAS, PAYG, superannuation and payroll tax
- Strong Excel skills and experience with Xero or similar accounting software
- Highly organised, accurate and able to work independently
- Proactive, hands-on and comfortable taking ownership of the finance function
