We’re looking for an accountant or experienced senior bookkeeper who’s a Registered BAS Agent. Someone who knows their way around Xero, takes pride in getting things right, and would quite like a job that fits into their life.

- A regular monthly rhythm. Our pharmacy clients lodge BAS monthly, spreading the work throughout the year. There are still deadlines; you’re an accountant, not a magician.
- A specialty you can get properly positive at. Build deep knowledge of pharmacy and health businesses, with coaching in the industry specifics and our reporting approach.
- People who value what you know. Join a small team with direct access to the people running the business.
- Work that gets used. Your reports help pharmacy owners understand their businesses and make decisions. There are real people on the other side of those numbers.

Our leadership brings more than 30 years of community pharmacy ownership experience. We understand the businesses behind the books, and we’ll help you get to know them too.

Pharmacy experience is welcome, but, you don’t need to arrive fluent in PBS remittances.

And yes, there are books to balance.

You’ll look after your own portfolio of clients: end-to-end bookkeeping in Xero, bank and wholesaler reconciliations, PBS income, monthly BAS and GST returns, and payroll through Employment Hero.

You’ll keep records accurate and ready for audit, prepare monthly reports, support our benchmarking work, and talk directly with owners and managers. Being able to explain the numbers in everyday language matters here.

A few things do need to add up.

You’ll need

- Current BAS Agent registration with the Tax Practitioners Board.
- Xero Level 3 (Advisor) certification.
- At least three years’ bookkeeping or accounting experience across multiple client files.
- Australian payroll experience.
- An eye for detail and the ability to work independently from home.
- The right to work in Australia.

Pharmacy, healthcare or retail experience would be handy. So would familiarity with PBS, NDIS, Dext and Employment Hero. CPA, CA or IPA qualifications are also welcome.
