A well-known FMCG food manufacturer based in Mordialloc needs an experienced Accounts Assistant to help their finance team through a busy period. The role is roughly 80% accounts payable and 20% accounts receivable. It starts as a 4-week contract and could be extended.

What you’ll be doing

Accounts Payable

- Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and on time

- Reconciling supplier statements

- Handling supplier queries and following up on payments

- Helping with payment runs

- Keeping AP records accurate and the data clean

Accounts Receivable

- Preparing and issuing customer invoices and credit notes

- Allocating customer receipts and keeping the debtors ledger up to date

- Monitoring aged debtors and following up on collections by phone and email

- Resolving customer billing queries and disputes

- Setting up recent customer accounts and maintaining customer records





You’ll also support the wider finance team wherever extra hands are needed.

What you’ll bring

- Solid AP experience, ideally with some AR exposure

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work through volume without cutting corners

- Comfort in a busy environment where priorities can shift

- Clear, confident communication with suppliers, customers and internal teams

- FMCG or manufacturing experience is a bonus, but not essential

The details

- $42 per hour plus super

- Minimum 4-week contract with potential to extend

- Based on site in Mordialloc
