Olia Fertility
Australia
About Olia FertilityOlia Fertility is a new, multidisciplinary fertility service designed to support individuals and couples earlier in their fertility journey.
Our model brings together medical, nursing and allied health care to provide personalised fertility assessment, investigation and evidence-based management, with a strong focus on identifying potential barriers to conception and optimising fertility before more complex treatment is required.
Olia will provide care from preconception and early fertility investigations through to ovulation induction, where clinically appropriate. When patients require advanced assisted reproductive treatment such as IVF, we will work alongside specialist fertility services while continuing to provide nursing, nutritional and psychological support throughout their journey.
Based in Far North Queensland, Olia is being developed as a telehealth-enabled service, allowing us to provide accessible fertility care beyond traditional clinic settings.
The OpportunityWe are seeking an Accredited Practising Dietitian with an interest or experience in fertility, reproductive health and preconception nutrition to join Olia during our setup and launch phase.
This is a flexible telehealth role that can be performed remotely from within Australia.
Initially, the position will operate on a contract basis, with remuneration based on clinical service hours. You will have considerable flexibility to nominate appointment availability around your existing professional and personal commitments.
As Olia grows, there is potential for the position to expand into a more substantial ongoing role.
This is also an opportunity to become involved early in the development of a new fertility service.
You'll have genuine scope to contribute to Olia's nutritional care pathways, patient resources, multidisciplinary protocols and overall approach to fertility optimisation.
The RoleWorking collaboratively with Olia's medical, nursing and psychological team, you will provide individualised nutrition care to people preparing for pregnancy, trying to conceive and undergoing fertility treatment.
Responsibilities may include
- Providing comprehensive fertility and preconception nutrition assessments
- Developing individualised, evidence-based nutrition plans
- Supporting patients to optimise nutritional health before conception and during fertility treatment
- Providing nutrition support for both female and male reproductive health
- Supporting patients with weight, metabolic health and lifestyle factors where these may influence fertility or pregnancy outcomes
- Providing appropriate nutrition support for patients with conditions relevant to reproductive health
- Translating nutritional evidence into practical, realistic recommendations for patients
- Collaborating with medical, nursing and psychological clinicians as part of coordinated fertility care
- Participating in multidisciplinary case discussions where appropriate
- Developing patient education materials and resources
- Contributing to Olia's nutrition pathways, protocols and service development during the setup and launch phase
- Supporting patients who progress to specialist fertility or IVF services as part of their ongoing multidisciplinary care
About YouYou will be an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with appropriate qualified registration/membership and professional indemnity insurance.
Experience in fertility, reproductive health, women's health, preconception nutrition or related areas is highly regarded.
You don't necessarily need to have worked within an IVF clinic. We are equally interested in dietitians with strong relevant experience and a genuine interest in developing further expertise in fertility and reproductive nutrition.
You'll be comfortable providing care via telehealth and working autonomously while remaining part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who provides compassionate, practical and evidence-based care and who understands that fertility nutrition should support patients without adding unnecessary pressure, guilt or unrealistic expectations.
Why Join Olia? This role offers significant flexibility. You can nominate appointment availability around your existing commitments and provide consultations remotely via telehealth.
You'll join Olia during its formative stage, giving you the opportunity to influence how nutritional care is incorporated into the service rather than simply stepping into an established model.
You'll work alongside nursing, medical and psychological professionals within a coordinated fertility service focused on making fertility care clearer, more accessible and better supported.
For the right dietitian, there is considerable scope for the role to grow alongside Olia.
