Skilled Care is recruiting for multiple permanent part-time Aged Care Trainee positions in the Kempsey area.

You’ll be employed directly by an aged care employer, earning $32.61 per hour + super, plus applicable shift penalties, while completing your CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) through Skilled Care.

Your scheduled onsite training is paid, and qualification training is fee-free for eligible trainees.

Bring your experience from work and life

You might have worked in retail, hospitality, cleaning, customer service, childcare or another industry. You may be returning to paid work after time spent raising a family or caring for others.

You don’t need a background in care. We’re looking for people who are caring, reliable, respectful and willing to learn.

You’re not expected to know everything from day one. You’ll receive training and guidance as you build your skills and confidence.

What you’ll be doing

With training, supervision and guidance, you’ll learn to support older people with:

- Personal care, including showering, dressing and toileting.





- Mobility and everyday activities.

- Meals and daily routines.

- Companionship, social activities and emotional wellbeing.

- Following individual care plans and workplace procedures.

- Working safely as part of an aged care team.

This is hands-on work that involves personal care and supporting people with dignity and respect.

Hours and start date

These positions offer a minimum of 15 hours per week, with additional shifts subject to availability.

Available shifts may include mornings, afternoons and overnight shifts. Our recruitment team will discuss the required roster and your availability with you during screening.

You must be able to reliably travel to and from your allocated workplace in the Kempsey area for rostered shifts and training.
