Shepherd Care Australia is a trusted provider of disability support and aged care services across Sydney. We help people living with disability and older Australians live independently, safely and with dignity, with person-centred care built around each participant’s goals, needs and lifestyle.

Due to continued business growth, we’re looking for a compassionate and experienced Aged or Disabled Carer to join our care team.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide personal care, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility
- Support daily living activities while promoting independence and dignity
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, medication reminders and light household duties
- Build positive relationships with clients, families and healthcare professionals
- Monitor client health and wellbeing, and promptly report any changes or concerns
- Follow individual care plans in line with organisational policies
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation
- Support community participation, appointments, shopping and social activities
- Comply with NDIS Practice Standards, Aged Care Quality Standards, WHS requirements and infection control procedures




- Provide emotional support and companionship, respecting each client’s cultural background, preferences and privacy

Requirements

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing and/or Disability), Aged Care, Disability, or a closely related qualification
- At least 1 year of relevant full-time experience (or part-time equivalent) in aged care, disability support or community care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (where applicable)
- Current National Police Check
- Current unrestricted Australian driver licence (preferred)
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, public holidays and sleepovers if required

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
