An exciting opportunity currently exists for you to join the Allied Health Atherton as a Allied Health Assistant - Advanced. To maximise quality patient focussed care and service delivery by supporting the Allied Health Professionals with high level clinical and non-clinical delivery of appropriate therapeutic individual and group activities to consumers, their partners, carers and families.

About us:

The redevelopment of Atherton Hospital is architecturally distinct, yet reminiscent of the deep history of the site. A prominent archway motif is based on the original nurses' quarters design; a brick plinth by the main entrance also pays homage to the original nurses' quarters, created using bricks from the former building; and the colourful tiles on the exterior of the building tell the story of the Tablelands itself - with its rich reds, vibrant greens and deep blues.

Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers an area of 142,900 square kilometres. We go as far as Tully in the south, Cow Bay in the north and Croydon in the west.

About your role:

- Assist in the provision of Allied Health intervention to patients as prescribed by and under supervision of Allied Health professionals including individual and group therapy.
- Maintain clinical treatment environments including equipment inventory, cleaning and maintenance, and room preparation.




- Provide administrative support to Allied Health professionals as appropriate including, stocktaking and ordering of supplies and equipment.
- Maintain and manage Equipment Loan Services through the maintenance, cleaning and tracking of equipment.
