Work That Stays Needed

Every day, patients across Western Australia need safe transfers between hospitals and care facilities, and some of them need a registered paramedic alongside them. As an Ambulance Transport Attendant with National Patient Transport, you’ll be that clinician: monitoring, treating and making the clinical calls that keep low and medium acuity patients safe on the road. If you hold a Bachelor of Paramedicine and AHPRA registration, we’d like to meet you.

What You’ll Get

- Pay certainty: $34.21 per hour for full time and part-time, or $42.76 per hour for casuals (including 25% casual loading), plus allowances and penalty rates for [nights, weekends and public holidays]
- Paid induction training, so you earn from day one
- Full-time, part-time and casual positions, so you can choose the pattern of work that suits you
- Real clinical responsibility, with the chance to mentor newer crew as you grow
- Uniform supplied
- The security of working for a company backed by ComfortDelGro, one of the world’s largest land transport operators

The Role You’ll provide clinical monitoring and care for low and medium acuity patients during planned inter-hospital and facility transfers, across metropolitan Perth and regional WA. Depending on the patient, you’ll act as lead clinician or work alongside other paramedics. That means maintaining active treatments, administering medications within your scope of practice, recording clinical observations and escalating when a patient deteriorates.

You’ll hand over clearly to hospital and facility staff, keep accurate patient care records, and make sure your vehicle,

drug kits and monitoring equipment are ready for every shift.

About You

- Bachelor of Paramedicine (or equivalent)
- Current registration as a paramedic with AHPRA [or eligible for registration before your start date]
- Current WA C class driver’s licence
- A National Police Check
- A record of Traffic Infringement Notices issued by WA Police Force
- Willingness to meet WA Health immunisation requirements

It Helps If You Have Experience in non-emergency patient transport, ECG interpretation and IV therapy, experience caring for medium acuity or deteriorating patients, or knowledge of WA Health NEPT standards. If you’re a recent graduate, you’re welcome to apply. Our induction will set you up for NEPT work.

What Happens After You Apply

We recruit in a regular monthly cycle, so you won’t be left waiting. Shortlisted applicants receive an invitation to a short phone interview from our HR team within 5-7 business days, followed by an in-person interview in Canning Vale, and successful applicants start in our next available induction intake in the third week of each month. If your application isn’t successful this time, we’ll let you know.
