Apprentice Fitter & Machinist

Start your career in a hands-on engineering workshop and learn a trade with plenty of variety. We are looking for a motivated and reliable apprentice who is interested in pursuing a career in fitting and machining. This is an opportunity to learn practical engineering skills in a workshop environment while gaining experience in specialised industrial services.

Most of your work will be based in our workshop, with occasional site work at industrial facilities and refineries in Kwinana.

About the Role

You will gain hands-on experience across a range of engineering and mechanical tasks, including:

- Operating manual and CNC lathes and milling machines.
- Dismantling, inspecting, repairing and rebuilding industrial equipment.
- Machining components and working from engineering drawings.
- Assisting with welding and general fabrication.
- Learning specialised on-site services, including flange facing, leak sealing and hot tapping.
- Assisting with equipment installation, maintenance and repairs at customer sites.

No two jobs are exactly the same, providing an opportunity to develop a broad range of practical skills and experience.

About You

We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, takes pride in their work and wants to build a long-term career in the engineering trades. To be successful, you will need:
- A genuine interest in mechanical work,



engineering, fitting and machining.
- A willingness to learn and take direction.
- A reliable attitude and robust work ethic.
- A current driver's licence.
- To be at least 18 years old, or close to turning 18, due to site access requirements.
- The ability to pass drug and alcohol screening required for refinery and industrial site work.

Previous workshop experience is an advantage but is not essential. We are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, practical aptitude and willingness to learn.
