About the role

Signman is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice - Signs and Graphics to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in the signs and graphics industry, where you will develop practical skills under the guidance of experienced professionals. Based in Bibra Lake, Western Australia, you will be at the heart of a dynamic business that creates high-quality signage and graphic solutions.

This apprenticeship will provide you with comprehensive training in both traditional and modern sign-making techniques, preparing you for a rewarding career in the trades.

What you'll be doing

- Assist in the design, creation and installation of signs and graphics across various materials and formats
- Learn and apply lettering, vinyl application and paint techniques under supervision
- Support the fabrication of sign components including cutting, mounting and finishing
- Gain hands-on experience with sign-making equipment and digital design tools
- Help prepare work sites and maintain a clean, safe workshop environment
- Assist senior staff with measuring, marking and positioning of signage on client premises
- Contribute to projects ranging from small-scale custom work to large commercial installations
- Develop knowledge of health, safety and workplace procedures relevant to the signage industry
- Support the maintenance and organisation of tools, materials and inventory

What we're looking for

- A completed Year 10 qualification or equivalent, or currently progressing through secondary education
- A genuine interest in the signs and graphics industry and a desire to learn practical trade skills
- Strong attention to detail and precision in your work
- Ability to follow instructions and take feedback constructively
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills




- A willingness to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
- Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in various positions where required
- A commitment to health and safety practices in the workplace
- Reliability and punctuality in attending work
- Desirable: experience with design software or previous exposure to trade work
