Hays is seeking experienced Portfolio, Program and PMO professionals for a significant capability expansion within a major Federal Government department.

This is an opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of an enterprise wide portfolio and program management capability, supporting complex programs, strategic investment decisions and improved portfolio outcomes.

We are interested in hearing from professionals across a broad range of experience levels and specialisations, from experienced project and program support officers through to senior portfolio, PMO and program management professionals.

About the opportunities

Depending on your level and area of expertise, responsibilities may include:

Supporting or managing complex portfolios, programs and projects

Portfolio planning, prioritisation and investment alignment

Establishing and maintaining PMO and EPMO governance frameworks

Program and portfolio reporting, analysis and performance monitoring

Developing executive briefs, decision papers, dashboards and reporting

Integrated scheduling and resource management

Financial management, procurement and budget monitoring

Risk, perks and dependency management

Supporting strategic and data driven decision making

Change management and stakeholder engagement

Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives





Building productive relationships with senior stakeholders and executives

Providing project coordination and operational support across complex programs

What you'll need to succeed

We are interested in speaking with candidates who bring experience across project, program, portfolio or PMO environments, particularly within complex government or large enterprise settings.

Depending on the role and level, you may bring experience in areas such as portfolio management, program delivery, PMO governance, project support, scheduling, financial analysis, reporting, business architecture, change management or portfolio analytics.

You will also demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement skills, sound judgement and the ability to work effectively within complex delivery environments.

These opportunities require candidates to hold a current NV2 and/or TSPA security clearance.
