We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in a full-time capacity. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with an experienced Finance Manager, gain exposure across a broad range of accounting functions, and continue developing your technical skills in a supportive workplace.

This position is ideal for someone with approximately 1 year of experience in a similar accounting role or an accounting graduate looking to take the next step in their career.

For candidates undertaking or planning to undertake CPA Australia, this role provides valuable practical experience and exposure to accounting processes that support your ongoing career development.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Complete bank reconciliations and support general ledger maintenance
- Assist with month-end close processes and financial reporting
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records
- Support reconciliations, reporting, and finance administration activities
- Assist the Finance Manager with process improvements and ad hoc accounting tasks




- Ensure financial information is recorded accurately and confidentially

About You

We are looking for someone who is:
- Beginning their accounting career and eager to develop professionally
- Ideally experienced in an accounting or finance support role (approximately 1 year preferred)
- Studying or interested in pursuing CPA Australia (desirable)
- Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and organisational skills
- Able to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- A proactive team player with a willingness to learn
- Confident using Microsoft Office and accounting systems
