Assistant Accountant - AAT Kings

Help keep one of Australia's best-known touring brands running, from the numbers behind every tour to the month end results the business relies on.

The Role

You'll be a key part of the Management Accounts Team at AAT Kings, supporting the Management Accountant and GM Finance with reporting, reconciliations and the month end process. You'll own the detail that keeps the books accurate and the business informed, and you'll look for better ways to do it along the way.

What You'll Do

Reporting

- Prepare, coordinate and file all Treasury functions for AAT Kings Tours, including daily and weekly cash flow
- Deliver monthly cost centre reporting for Business Unit Managers
- Support the Management Accountant with MMA and quarterly reporting, plus ad-hoc analysis

Accounting

- Prepare general ledger journals for month end and review booking related journals in TMS/Tropics
- Prepare monthly revenue reconciliation between reservation system and general ledger
- Load payments through online banking for authorisation, including intercompany transfers on request
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations (Bank weekly, CIA, BSP, local intercompany and others) and transparent reconciling items on time
- Prepare the monthly BAS for lodgement by the Accountant / GM Finance
- Control local intercompany accounts and monitor TMS/Tropics CIA outstanding items,



preparing corrections
- Code Amex and cash expenses (including Aircard) in Concur, along with overhead invoices
- Produce the crew commission report for Payroll and commission analysis for Ops and HR
- Help prepare the year end audit file and reporting, and keep reconciliation, journal and year end folders filed with the correct authorisation

You'll also contribute to process improvements, share knowledge with your teammates and help others get their work done.

This Role Is For You If

- You have accounting experience across month end, balance sheet reconciliations and journals
- You're comfortable with BAS preparation and treasury or cash flow reporting
- You have a sharp eye for detail and take pride in accuracy
- You meet deadlines in a recurring weekly and monthly cycle
- You work well with others and enjoy helping the people around you
- Experience with TMS/Tropics and Concur is highly regarded
