Our client is an extremely reputable NFP with a history of nearly 100 years! They operate over 100 clubs across the country and play a leading role in the community. Based in their Olympic park office, you will report into a talented Financial Controller, who will offer support and mentorship. You’ll join a fantastic team of people highly motivated by the organisational mission.
The Role The responsibilities of this Assistant Accountant role will include, but not be limited to:
- Bank reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing sales invoices
- Managing suppliers
- Weekly reporting & variance analysis
- System maintenance
- Ad hoc finance duties as required
Your Background To be considered for this Assistant Accountant role, you should meet most of the following criteria:
- Accounting degree and solid understanding of accounting standards
- At least 6 months' experience (internship, commercial or public practice)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Prior experience in a not-for-profit business will be highly regarded.
