Assistant Manager – External Audit

Up to $150k Package | Internal Audit Exposure | Career Progression An established accounting and advisory firm is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – External Audit to join its growing team.

This is a great opportunity for a Senior Auditor ready to step up or an experienced Assistant Manager looking for broader exposure. The position will primarily focus on external audit, with the chance to gain exposure across internal audit and broader assurance engagements.

The Role

- Manage external audit engagements from planning through to completion.
- Work across a diverse portfolio of clients and industries.
- Review audit files and support the development of junior team members.
- Build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Assist Managers and Partners with complex audit matters.
- Gain exposure to internal audit and broader risk and assurance work.
- Support the planning, resourcing and delivery of engagements.

About You
- Strong Australian external audit experience within Public Practice.




- Senior Auditor or Assistant Manager-level experience.
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion.
- Strong technical audit and financial reporting knowledge.
- Confident client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience reviewing or mentoring junior staff.
- An interest in developing broader internal audit experience.
