Associate / Manager – Real Estate Investment & Asset Management | Sydney

Are you a commercially minded property professional who likes owning your work? This is a chance to join a respected real estate investment manager in a role that combines asset management and funds management.

The opportunity

You’ll report to the head of a specialist hospitality real estate portfolio. You’ll take ownership of asset performance, financial modelling and investment reporting. Your manager will be on hand for guidance, also a good deal of time with assets in other locations, so this role suits someone who is confident working independently.

What you’ll do

- Review asset P&Ls;, cash flows, budgets and capex plans, and turn the numbers into clear insights
- Build and maintain asset and fund-level financial models
- Track valuations, returns and investment metrics across the portfolio
- Prepare investor reporting and investment committee papers
- Support acquisitions, disposals and refinancing activity
- Work closely with operating partners to drive income and value

What you’ll bring





- Experience at senior analyst, associate or manager level in real estate valuation, asset management, funds management or transactions
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- A good grasp of property value, returns and investment metrics
- The ability to read and interpret an operating P&L;
- A self-directed approach and sound judgement

A valuation background, especially in hospitality, would be highly regarded. Experience in either asset management or funds management is welcome, because we’ll develop you in the other.
