About the job

Tenet is hiring, and we are looking for an Associate – Technology & AI Advisory to join our Advisory practice in Melbourne.

About us

Tenet is an Advisory & Investments business created for a changing world. Founded on a steadfast belief in the principles of momentum, growth and value creation, we partner with clients to create a better today, and an even stronger tomorrow.

We believe that growth comes from courageous, ambitious and innovative steps forward, and that true value is created when strategy, people, brand, technology and operations align.

Our technology capability supports clients through the full lifecycle of technology transformation – from strategy and business casing, to program delivery and benefits. Engagements are rarely technology-only, and Associates in this role will work in cross-functional teams alongside colleagues from our Strategy and Customer capabilities.

Our culture

Our values shape how we behave and how we work together, and we live by each of them:

- We hold relationships at the heart
- Our default is impact
- We’re all in
- We forge ahead with spirit & grit
- We’re humble enough to keep learning
- We bring joy

Why Tenet?

- A flexible six weeks of annual leave per year
- Support for flexible working
- Work with some of the brightest and most passionate leaders in the business community
- Be part of a well-backed, growing firm and help shape something exciting where you will make a real impact

About the role As an Associate, you will work alongside Managers, Directors and Partners on client engagements,

in project teams committed to helping you thrive and investing in your development. You will own clearly defined workstreams, build your consulting craft quickly and work with senior client stakeholders from early on. If you’ve cut your teeth at a larger firm and want broader exposure, more client time and a real hand in building a practice, this role is designed for you.

Our mandates are broad and impactful, and you will contribute to:

- Developing AI, technology, data and digital strategies
- Designing and implementing new operating models and ways of working
- Platform modernisation programs (e.g. ERP) and platform selection
- Technology selection and vendor evaluation processes
- Governance and delivery models for large, complex programs

Day to day, you will:
- Research markets, technologies and vendors, and turn findings into clear insights
- Run current-state analysis, stakeholder interviews and workshops with support from senior team members
- Build analysis and models, including AI use case assessments, benefits sizing and business case inputs
- Prepare high-quality client deliverables, from working papers to executive presentations
- Use AI tools to build prototypes and demos that bring ideas to life for clients

- Support program governance, reporting and PMO activities on delivery engagements
- Contribute to proposals, thought leadership and the growth of our practice

About you

- Typically one to three years’ experience in a top-tier consulting firm (Big 4, strategy or global technology consultancy), at Consultant or Senior Consultant level
- Exposure to technology, AI, data or digital strategy engagements, with a solid grounding in structured problem-solving, client deliverables and the rhythm of an engagement
- Working knowledge of cloud, data, AI, architecture, platforms, operating models and customer experience, and a strong drive to deepen it
- Curiosity about how AI is changing corporate functions such as finance, marketing, operations and HR
- Hands-on with AI tools and comfortable experimenting – you have built something, not just read about it
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems
- Transparent written and verbal communication, including turning complex ideas into simple, compelling slides
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams alongside colleagues from Strategy and Customer, not just Technology
- Exposure to ERP, platform selection or vendor evaluation is a plus, not required
- Undergraduate degree in technology, business IT, commerce, engineering or a related field
- Tenet is an equal opportunity employer. We find excellence in diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all our people.
