About the role

We are seeking a qualified Automotive Mechanic / Technician to join our busy Rockingham workshop. This hands-on role suits an experienced tradesperson who is confident in general mechanical repairs, wheel alignments, suspension, steering, diagnostics and underbody work. You will take pride in your workmanship, diagnose problems accurately and work effectively as part of a supportive team.

Key responsibilities

- Perform wheel alignments using workshop alignment equipment.

- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics and mechanical repairs on a wide range of motor vehicles.

- Inspect, diagnose and repair suspension and steering systems.

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using scanning tools and workshop equipment.

- Interpret technical manuals to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues.

- Complete logbook servicing, oil changes, brake servicing, tyre rotations, underbody work and preventative maintenance.

- Replace shocks, struts, bushes, ball joints, tie rods and related components.

- Carry out tyre-related inspections and associated mechanical work.

- Road-test vehicles where required to confirm repairs and diagnose faults.

- Communicate clearly with colleagues and customers about vehicle faults and repairs.





- Collaborate with the team to ensure productive workflow and timely completion of customer jobs.

- Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and procedures.

- Complete work efficiently, safely and to a high standard while maintaining a clean and organised workshop.

About you

- Fully qualified Automotive Technician / Motor Mechanic.

- Experienced in general mechanical repairs and servicing.

- Tyre fitting and balancing experience.

- Comfortable using diagnostic scanning tools and workshop equipment.

- Able to diagnose faults accurately and recommend appropriate repairs.

- Reliable, punctual, safety-conscious and committed to quality workmanship.

- Able to work independently and contribute positively to a team.

- Hold a current Manual driver’s license.
