Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure Integration Architect to lead the design, implementation, modernization, and governance of enterprise integration solutions across a complex healthcare and community services landscape. The role will be responsible for defining and implementing integration strategies that connect SaaS, COTS, custom applications, data platforms, and external partner systems.

The ideal candidate should possess robust expertise in Azure Integration Services, API-led architecture, event-driven integration, hybrid integration patterns, and enterprise middleware platforms including Boomi. The architect will work closely with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, application teams, vendors, and managed service providers to drive integration modernization initiatives and ensure reliable, secure, and scalable integration capabilities across the application portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Strategy & Architecture

- Define and maintain the enterprise integration architecture roadmap aligned with business and digital transformation objectives.
- Develop integration reference architectures, standards, design principles, and governance models.
- Establish integration patterns for cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
- Drive integration modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy middleware platforms.

Azure Integration Services Architecture

- Lead architecture and design for:
- Azure Logic Apps
- Azure API Management (APIM)
- Azure Service Bus
- Azure Event Grid
- Azure Event Hub
- Azure Functions
- Azure Storage Services
- Azure Key Vault
- Azure Monitor and Application Insights
- Design highly available, resilient, and secure integration solutions.
- Define reusable integration frameworks and accelerators.

Boomi Platform Expertise





- Provide architecture and technical leadership for Boomi integrations.
- Design API, application, B2B, and data integration solutions using Boomi.
- Define coexistence and migration strategies between Boomi and Azure Integration Services.
- Optimize existing Boomi integrations for performance, scalability, maintainability, and operational support.

API & Event-Driven Architecture

- Design RESTful APIs and API lifecycle governance.
- Define API security standards, authentication, authorization, and monitoring approaches.
- Establish event-driven and asynchronous integration patterns.
- Support enterprise API catalog and reuse strategy.

Healthcare & Enterprise Systems Integration

- Lead integration design across enterprise platforms including:
- Clinical and Healthcare Systems
- Aged Care Platforms
- CRM Solutions
- HR Systems
- Finance and ERP Platforms
- Service Management Platforms
- Collaboration Platforms
- Data and Analytics Platforms
- Design integrations supporting customer, patient, workforce, finance, and operational processes.

Solution Design & Delivery Governance

- Review solution designs, technical specifications, and implementation plans.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure architectural compliance.
- Participate in architecture governance boards and design reviews.
- Provide guidance to development, testing, and support teams.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management

- Ensure compliance with healthcare, privacy, and security standards.
- Implement secure integration architectures utilizing:
- Entra ID (Azure AD)
- OAuth 2.0
- OpenID Connect




- TLS Encryption
- Managed Identities
- Conduct architecture risk assessments and mitigation planning.

Operational Excellence

- Define monitoring, alerting, logging, and support frameworks.
- Collaborate with AMS and operational teams to ensure supportability of integration services.
- Drive root-cause analysis and continuous service improvement activities.
- Define SLAs, performance metrics, and operational runbooks.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

- Partner with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, vendors, and delivery teams.
- Facilitate technical workshops and architecture discussions.
- Lead integration estimation, planning, and technical decision-making.
- Prepare architecture documentation and executive-level technical presentations.

Required Experience

- 10–12 years of experience in enterprise integration and solution architecture.
- Minimum 5 years of Azure Integration Services experience.
- Strong experience delivering large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- Experience integrating complex environments involving:
- SaaS Applications
- COTS Platforms
- Custom Applications
- Cloud and Hybrid Systems
- Proven experience leading integration workstreams across multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience working within large healthcare, aged care, government, financial services, or regulated enterprise environments.
- Experience managing distributed, vendor, and offshore delivery teams.

Qualifications

- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification (Preferred).
- Azure Integration Certifications (Preferred).
- Boomi Professional Architect Certification (Highly Desirable).
- TOGAF Certification (Preferred).
