About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join the team at La Cantina Mascot. This is a casual position based in Mascot, NSW 2020. As a Barista, you will be at the heart of our hospitality operation, delivering exceptional coffee and beverage experiences to our customers every day. This role is crucial to creating the welcoming atmosphere and quality service that defines our venue and keeps our guests coming back.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and serving high-quality espresso-based drinks, speciality coffees, and other hot and cold beverages
- Operating and maintaining espresso machines and other coffee equipment to ensure consistent quality
- Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and responding to requests
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the bar area and equipment
- Processing payments and handling the till system accurately
- Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues during busy periods
- Adhering to food safety and health regulations at all times

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar coffee-focused role within hospitality
- Solid knowledge of coffee brewing methods, espresso extraction, and milk frothing techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding beverages and experiences




- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Reliability to work casual shifts, including weekends and peak times as required
- Barista certification or equivalent training is highly desirable
- A positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement in your craft
