About Us

Loftus Lane Café is a café located in the heart of Circular Quay, Sydney CBD, serving specialty coffee, breakfast, brunch, and high tea.

We are looking for an experienced, friendly, and reliable Barista to join our growing team.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about coffee, takes pride in customer service, and can work confidently in a fast-paced café environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare consistently high-quality espresso-based coffees and other beverages.
- Dial in espresso, adjust grinders, and maintain coffee quality throughout the day.
- Demonstrate excellent milk texturing and latte art skills.
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
- Take customer orders and operate the POS system.
- Assist with general front-of-house duties, including food running and table service when required.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient coffee station.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and FOH team.

Requirements
- Previous professional barista experience in a busy café environment.
- Solid espresso preparation, milk texturing, and latte art skills.




- Confident English communication and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during busy periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude.
- Availability for early morning shifts.
- Weekend availability is highly regarded.
- Valid working rights in Australia.

Preferred but not essential:

- Experience in Australian cafés or restaurants.
- Café all-rounder or table service experience.
- Valid NSW RSA certification.
