About the role

As a Director, you will contribute to the effective governance and long-term success of Maxima.

You will

- contribute to the development and review of Maxima’s strategy and priorities
- monitor organisational performance against agreed strategic objectives
- uphold Maxima’s values, reputation and governance responsibilities
- provide oversight of financial sustainability and major financial commitments
- contribute to an effective, respectful and high-performing Board.

Preference will be given to candidates who are able be in Adelaide regularly. The role offers a modest director’s fee to acknowledge the commitment required. What will you bring?

We are looking for an accomplished professional who can contribute relevant governance capability, experience and perspective to Maxima’s Board.





You may bring your senior leadership experience together with strong stakeholder relationships and the ability to build credibility and influence across a diverse range of people and organisations.

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be highly valuable:

- Current or previous Board director
- Organisational transformation especially mergers and acquisitions
- Funding, partnerships or stakeholder engagement
- Recruitment, employment and training including First Nations programs
- Disability and inclusive employment
- Business, government or not-for-profit leadership

Governance and eligibility

Directors must be able to fulfil their legal and governance responsibilities under the Corporations Act, ACNC requirements and other applicable legislation.

Applicants will need to meet relevant fit and proper person requirements, be capable of fulfilling the duties of a responsible person and Director and be available to participate in Board and Committee meetings, the AGM and other meetings as reasonably required. Relevant clearances may also be required.
