About the role

Morton Engineering is seeking experienced Boilermakers and 1st Class Welders to join our workshop team in Lytton, Queensland. This is a casual role with the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects in the Trades & Services industry.

What you'll be doing

- Fabricating, assembling, and installing metal structures, vessels, pipe and equipment to precise specifications

- Interpreting technical drawings, and welding procedures

- Performing high-quality welding to industry standards using a variety of welding techniques (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, MMAW, SAW)

- Collaborating with the broader team to ensure efficient and safe project delivery

- Maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment

What we're looking for

- Formal qualification as a Boilermaker or 1st Class Welder

- Extensive experience in a similar role within the Trades & Services industry

- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

- Excellent welding skills and knowledge of various welding techniques





- Solid attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently

- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

- Strong work ethic and a focus on safety
