About the role

This is a client ownership role. You'll have your own portfolio, clients will know your name, and you'll be the person they call when things get complicated or exciting. Our admin team handles the coordination and scheduling, so you can focus on the work that needs you.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and review tax returns and financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships and sole traders

- BAS, IAS and FBT lodgements

- Tax planning and advisory conversations with SME business owners

- Review and sign off work prepared by our offshore team, applying your quality standards

- Liaise with the ATO and handle client queries

- Help improve our systems, processes and tech as the firm grows

About you

- 5+ years' experience in Australian public practice, with strong tax and financial statement experience

- CA or CPA qualified, or close to completion

- Confident with Xero, Karbon and Ignition, or quick to pick up new apps and tools

- Confident owning client relationships and leading client conversations without needing to be managed through them

- Someone who delivers what they say they'll deliver, and does the work properly

- Registered Tax Agent status is a bonus,
