Position: Carpenter (Formwork Carpenter)

Fine Line Formwork is a Sydney-based, family-operated construction business specialising in high-quality formwork solutions for residential and commercial projects. We provide a wide range of formwork services, including slabs, columns, walls, staircases, beams and suspended concrete structures. We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter (Formwork Carpenter) to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications to plan and carry out formwork carpentry tasks.
- Measure, cut, shape and assemble timber, plywood and other materials required for concrete formwork construction.
- Construct and install formwork for concrete slabs, columns, walls, beams, staircases and other structural components.
- Assemble and secure formwork panels, frames, supports and bracing systems to ensure structural stability and accurate alignment.
- Install and adjust conventional and modular formwork systems, including table forms, where required for residential and commercial construction projects.
- Check completed formwork for correct dimensions, levels, alignment and compliance with project specifications before concrete placement.




- Safely dismantle formwork after concrete has achieved the required strength, and prepare reusable materials for subsequent construction activities.
- Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment, ensuring materials are handled and stored appropriately.
- Work closely with site supervisors and other tradespeople to complete formwork activities efficiently while complying with workplace health and safety requirements.

Skills and Experience Required

- Relevant trade qualification in Carpentry or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in carpentry or concrete formwork.
- Practical experience constructing and installing formwork for residential or commercial concrete structures.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
- Proficiency in using carpentry tools, measuring equipment and formwork systems.
- Good understanding of construction site safety requirements and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Solid attention to detail, reliability and time management skills.
- Valid White Card (Construction Induction Card).
