Casual Cooks

Working under the guidance of our Kitchen Management Team, you’ll prepare and present high-quality dishes across à la carte, banquets, weddings and conferences.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve food to recipe and presentation standards.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, in line with HACCP requirements.
- Monitor the quality of food served.
- Follow established cleaning procedures.
- Manage your time well during preparation and service.
- Work with the wider kitchen and Q Station teams to deliver a excellent guest experience.

Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a high-volume restaurant, hotel or banqueting venue.
- An understanding of food cost and waste management.
- Highly organised and able to work under pressure, with a calm and composed demeanour.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-focused approach.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work a adaptable schedule, including days,



evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Kitchen Hands You’ll keep our kitchens running smoothly, supporting the chefs and maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of a professional kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

- Thoroughly clean all items coming into the dishwasher and wash areas.
- Maintain sanitation and hygiene standards across the kitchen.
- Make sure dishwashing machinery is working efficiently, and store and handle all chemicals safely.
- Keep food and serving areas clean and tidy.
- Handle glassware, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans with care, and store them neatly and safely.
- Stack bottles, cardboard and paper in the correct storage areas, and operate the cardboard compactor safely.
- Assist the kitchen team and carry out other related duties as directed by Senior Chefs.

Essential Criteria:
- Experience in a similar role.
- A high standard of personal grooming.
- A positive approach to work and good communication skills.
- A current Food Handler certificate.
- An Australian driver’s licence is advantageous!
