As a team member, you play a critical role in delivering an outstanding customer experience and achieving sales goals. This position is responsible for assisting customers, promoting products, maintaining the store's appearance, and ensuring the efficient operation of day-to-day store activities.
Key responsibilities
- Promote sales of store products and services
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, promotions, and store policies to provide accurate information to customers
- Ensure the store is clean, organised, and well-stocked at all times
- Process customer transactions accurately using the store's point of sale (POS) system
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy
- Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges as necessary
- Work cooperatively with colleagues and management to ensure the store operates smoothly
About you
- Previous experience in Retail with an ability to provide great customer service
- 1-2 year of relevant work experience required for this role
- Be willing to work a wide range of retail hours including morning, evening, weekends and public holidays
- Have an eagerness to learn and share ideas
- A respect for both team members and customers and an ability to gain rapport and build relationships
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with POS systems or cash handling including reconciling cash registers and preparing bank deposits
