Aaxcello is a small outbound agency. We book sales meetings for Australian businesses across a wide range of industries, from tech and software to cleaning, construction, finance and more. We do that through cold email and cold calling. We need someone to help on the phones.

The job is simple: call business owners, have a real conversation, and book meetings for our clients.

What it looks like

- Around 10 hours a week to start, with room to grow if it’s working for both of us
- Spread the hours however suits you (within business hours, since that’s when owners pick up)
- Remote for now. We’re aiming to open an office in the Macarthur area (South West Sydney) down the track, so local is a bonus but not a must.
- $35 per hour, either as a casual employee or as a contractor through your ABN

What you’ll actually do The job comes down to one thing: booking meetings. Everything else supports that.

- Make a lot of calls. This is a volume game. In a typical shift you’ll get through a big list of dials, and most won’t pick up. That’s normal.
- Have short, real conversations. When someone does answer, you’ve got about 30 seconds to be human, explain why you’re calling and earn the next minute.
- Handle objections. “Not interested”, “send me an email”, “we already have someone”. You’ll hear them all, and we’ll teach you how to respond without being pushy.
- Book the meeting. The goal of every good conversation is a time in the diary for our client. That’s how you’ll be measured.
- Follow scripts, then make them yours. We test different call scripts every week. You’ll start on what’s working and give feedback on what isn’t.
- Log everything. Every call, outcome and follow up goes into a shared Google Sheet so we can track results and improve.

Who we’re after





- Happy to give cold calling a genuine go, even if you’ve never done it before
- Thick skinned. You’ll get hung up on, ignored and told no, sometimes in the same hour. If you can shrug that off and dial the next number, you’ll do well.
- Comfortable keeping momentum through a high volume of calls without losing energy
- Motivated by results. Booking meetings is the scoreboard, and you’ll want to see it go up.
- Quick to pick things up. One day you might be calling about cybersecurity, the next about commercial cleaning. You don’t need to be an expert in any of it, but you’ll need to get your head around a new product fast and talk about it confidently.
- Comfortable with chaos. We’re a small team that moves fast, so things aren’t always structured or perfectly documented. Priorities change, clients come and go, and you’ll sometimes need to figure things out yourself. If you need everything mapped out before you start, this probably isn’t the right fit.
- Transparent, friendly and confident talking to business owners
- Coachable. You’ll get feedback on your calls every week and we’ll want to see you use it.
- Reliable with your hours once they’re agreed
- No sales experience needed. Students, career changers, parents after part time hours, anyone who’s good with people is welcome.
