Contemporary Catering is a family-owned and operated business providing specialist catering services to aged care facilities since 1992. We operate across more than 40 locations throughout Victoria and New South Wales, employing over 700 staff.

We are currently recruiting for two Part-Time Chef positions:

- Brunswick: Friday and Saturday

- Gisborne: Tuesday and Wednesday

About the Role

As a Part-Time Chef, you will play an important role in preparing high-quality meals and delivering an exceptional dining experience for aged care residents.

Your responsibilities will include

- Preparing and producing high-quality meals to meet residents’ dietary requirements.

- Supporting a positive resident dining experience.

- Leading and supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.

- Maintaining compliance with food safety, WHS and quality standards.

- Managing stock control, ordering and food costs.

- Communicating effectively with facility management, residents and families.

- Ensuring meals meet individual dietary requirements,



including texture-modified diets.

What You Will Bring

- Relevant chef qualifications.

- Experience in aged care or a similar catering environment.

- A sound understanding of texture-modified meals and specialised dietary requirements.

- Knowledge of food safety legislation and protected food handling practices.

- An understanding of food cost management and stock control.

- A proactive approach to teamwork and continuous improvement.

- Strong communication skills and professional presentation.
