We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, prepare, cook and present high-quality breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes.
- Develop and improve menus, including seasonal specials.
- Oversee daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation and portion control.
- Monitor stock levels, manage ordering and minimise food wastage.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Assist with food costing and kitchen budget management.
- Coordinate kitchen operations during busy service periods.
- Train, guide and supervise kitchen staff as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.

Qualifications and Experience To be considered for this position, applicants must demonstrate:




- AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working as a Chef in a professional commercial kitchen.
- Experience in a busy café or restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation and kitchen management.
- Sound understanding of Australian food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
