About the role

You will oversee civil projects valued up to $2 million, working closely with our Operations Manager, supervisors, subcontractors and council representatives. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can coordinate site activities, control costs and deliver quality work safely and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

- Planning and coordinating road reconstruction, drainage, kerb and channel, footpath and asphalt works
- Managing project budgets, tracking costs and monitoring progress against the construction program
- Coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
- Reviewing drawings and specifications, resolving site issues and raising RFIs
- Preparing progress claims, variations, site reports and project records
- Managing inspections, quality documentation and project handover
- Maintaining site safety and environmental standards
- Communicating with clients, consultants and service authorities

About you

- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related qualification




- At least three years' experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer in civil construction, with a strong focus on road works
- Demonstrated experience managing project budgets and delivering projects valued up to $2 million
- A sound understanding of road construction methods, drainage and pavement works
- The ability to read drawings, interpret specifications and manage subcontractors
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
- A practical approach and the ability to take ownership of your projects
- A current driver's licence and Construction White Card
- Experience delivering local council projects will be highly regarded
