About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team on a part-time basis in Melbourne and Geelong. This supervisory position is crucial to the operational success of Elynwood, as you will oversee cleaning teams, ensure service quality standards are met, and maintain strong relationships with our clients. The role combines hands-on cleaning experience with leadership and management responsibilities, allowing you to make a direct impact on our business performance and team development.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate cleaning teams on assigned sites, ensuring all work is completed to Elynwood's high standards
- Conduct quality inspections of completed work and address any deficiencies promptly
- Manage scheduling, roster planning and resource allocation for cleaning operations
- Liaise with clients to understand their specific cleaning requirements and address any concerns
- Train and mentor cleaning staff on proper techniques, safety protocols and company procedures
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and ensure all team members follow appropriate procedures
- Report on team performance, attendance and any incidents or issues to management
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering as needed




- Support the recruitment and induction of new cleaning staff members

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in the cleaning industry, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or team leader role
- Strong knowledge of commercial and/or residential cleaning practices, techniques and standards
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage team members effectively
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and make decisions
- Understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations relevant to cleaning services
- Physical fitness and capability to perform cleaning tasks as required
- Reliability, punctuality and a solid work ethic
- Customer service orientation and professionalism in client interactions
- Preferably, experience with cleaning management systems or software
