Client-Side Consultancy Project Manager | Commercial Projects

The Opportunity

A highly regarded client-side project management consultancy in Sydney looking to find a commercially minded Project Manager or a Senior Project Manager who can hit the ground running. This is an opportunity to join a outstanding team with experienced leadership, a supportive culture and a genuine focus on mentorship and professional development. You’ll work across a portfolio of major commercial projects for established corporate clients, gaining valuable exposure while continuing to develop your project delivery and commercial expertise.

The role would suit someone with at least2–5 years of experience who has a solid foundation in project management and is ready to take the next step in their career within a consultancy that values its people and invests in their development.

The Role

You’ll be involved in managing a portfolio of commercial projects, with responsibility for approximately 5–6 projects at any one time, alongside supporting other client accounts.

Key responsibilities will include

- Managing commercial projects from planning and design through to delivery and handover.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
- Coordinating project teams and managing competing priorities across multiple projects.
- Monitoring project budgets, programmes, risks, procurement and reporting.
- Managing project costs, variations and commercial outcomes.
- Providing clear project updates and ensuring projects remain on track.
- Working across different client accounts and adapting to varying project requirements.

About You

You’re a proactive,



commercially aware Project Manager who is comfortable taking ownership and working in a fast-paced consultancy environment.

You’ll ideally have

- At least 2–5 years of experience in project management within commercial or fit-out.
- Experience in a client-side consultancy.
- Solid commercial acumen, including an understanding of budgets, costs, contracts and procurement.
- The ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritise effectively.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset and the confidence to work autonomously.
- The ability to step into established client relationships and add value quickly.

Above all, you’ll have the commercial fundamentals, organisation and initiative to manage multiple projects while delivering a high standard of service to your clients.
