Details: Libraries ACT is seeking a Collections Officer to play a key role in the collections team, working under the Collections Librarian to provide library collections and services including the library’s Book Club, Bulk-lending, and InterLibrary Loans services.

This role will suit someone who is keen for a challenge, loves problem solving, and wants to do something different every day. You will be adaptable, highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage competing priorities, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

As part of the collections team you will undertake tasks including:

- Accession, process, and prepare collections items using the integrated library management system

- Ordering assistance and administration of collection materials

- Amending/maintaining collection records to improve discoverability

- Promotion of library resources (both physical and digital) through displays on the public access catalogue

- Invoice reconciliation and payment administration

The successful applicant will build strong working relationships across the Libraries ACT network and community and will assist the Collections Librarian in curating a well-rounded and diverse collection to suit the Canberra Community.

Eligibility/Other requirements:

- Experience in the Galleries, Libraries and Museum (GLAM) industry will be well regarded.
