Black Owl Design is on the lookout for a creative, proactive, and energetic Content Creator to join our crew!

Position Title: Content Creator – Marketing and Social Media

Role Type: Full-Time

Location: Mackay, QLD

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 per annum Super THE DETAILS &

- THE ROLE

As our Content Creator, you will be responsible for building and maintaining dynamic online communications for our diverse range of clients. You will combine creativity with data-driven insights to create and publish compelling content, across social and digital platforms.

What you’ll be doing

End-to-End Social Management: Maintain and grow dynamic presences across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest by developing content ideas and calendars for clients’ social media and digital platforms, in line with their briefs and brand guidelines.

Hands-on Content Creation &

- Capture: Get out in the field to direct and capture eye-catching photo and video content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, and static assets) on-site with our clients.

Planning &

- Scheduling: Plan, schedule, and maintain content calendars across Meta Business Suite and scheduling platforms, keeping accounts active and deadlines met.

Strategy Development: Create and implement content strategy for social and digital platforms, including content themes, formats and publishing schedules, to grow audiences, build brand awareness and support sales.

Analytics: Review campaign and account performance, pull insights from the data, report on KPIs, and continually refine strategies to keep our clients ahead of algorithm shifts and trends.

Key skills & attributes:

Creative &

- Visual Eye: Proven ability to shoot, edit, and produce visually engaging, on-brand content (tiles,



Reels, Stories, and videos) with strong copywriting skills.

Platform &

- Tool Savvy: Confident working with Meta Business Suite, Meta Ads Manager, third-party social scheduling tools, Canva, and video editing apps like CapCut Pro (or similar creator suites).

Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to dive into analytics, assess performance against client KPIs and budgets, and adapt content based on what the numbers show.

Personable &

- Professional: Natural relationship-builder who feels right at home heading on-site to direct shoots, collaborate with clients, and represent BOD in client meetings.

Organised Multi-Tasker: Comfortable managing multiple client accounts, deadlines, posting schedules, and ad budgets without dropping the ball.

Proactive Trend Hunter: Always on top of trending audio, platform updates, and emerging formats, ready to bring fresh ideas to the table for both clients and the studio.

ABOUT BLACK OWL DESIGN

At BOD, we are a multi-discipline creative studio experienced in branding, graphic design, web design, signage, social media, marketing, and more. We are small but mighty, and we’ve been rocking the design world for over 15 years.

You’ll work closely with our Directors and Marketing team across a wide range of industries, delivering work that connects with purpose in a fun, collaborative environment. (And yes, loving dogs is definitely a bonus around here!)

Currently reside in (or be readily relocating to) Mackay, Queensland.
