Our client, a Queensland Government Department, are currently seeking a Content Designer for an initial contract until 21st April 2027 with possible extension. Role responsibilities:

- Write, edit and publish web content that adheres to the Queensland Government Style Manual and Customer Online content briefs.
- Shape and deliver customer-centric content by following best practice usability and accessibility standards.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to produce content that meets user needs and business goals.
- Champion editorial standards, customer-centric online strategies and user experience.
- Optimise site and system information architecture.
- Uphold content usability, accessibility and performance.
- Translate business requirements into customer-centric and best practice web solutions using Google Analytics 4 and other data gathering tools.
- Monitor, analyse and report on usage and operational statistics.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team through all stages of digital service design and delivery.
- Promote and support a workplace culture of equity, diversity, respect and inclusion.

Skills and knowledge:

- Experience writing and publishing content online,



ideally in Squiz Matrix or similar content manage system (CMS).
- Experience designing customer-centric content solutions, including planning, design, testing and delivery.
- Capability in analysing business requirements, identifying alternative solutions, and recommending new and creative approaches regarding best practice web content solutions.
- Experience utilising effective negotiation, influencing and communication skills to facilitate open communication and feedback channels with stakeholders, to understand and meet their expectations and needs.
- Experience presenting executive narratives as well as detailed findings and designs to delivery teams.
- Capability in collaborating within a team with the ability to assist, coach and share information with others, while being receptive to coaching and learning opportunities.
- Proven ability to investigate, document and interpret business requirements.
- Proven ability to provide solutions in line with web and business standards.
- Proven ability to advocate for, and ensure the solution meets, the user need.
- Build and maintain working relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proven ability to provide constructive and critical advice and training.
- Proven ability to influence,



negotiate with, and guide stakeholders in best practice content design.
- Proficiency using tools to monitor and report on web usage and user experience.
- Experience delivering insights that drive customer-centric solutions.
- Experience with the Queensland Government digital design system highly regarded.
