Contract AdministratorCadstruct Recruitment have partnered with a fast-growing Sydney fit-out and refurbishment contractor delivering complex commercial, heritage and hospitality projects across the city. They’re looking for an experienced Contract Administrator to take on some exciting new projects.
The projectsOur client specialises in larger-scale refurbishments, including commercial lobbies, workplaces, labs and hospitality spaces, often in live environments and heritage buildings. Their work comes largely through long-standing relationships with agents, tenant representatives and landlords, and they have a strong pipeline ahead. What matters most is a CA who takes ownership, is commercially sharp, and works well alongside the PM on complex jobs.
What you’ll do
Manage the commercial side of the project from start to finish, covering subcontract procurement, cost tracking, variations, progress claims and reporting. You’ll work hand in hand with the Project Manager to keep the job on programme and on budget through the challenges of a live, heritage-listed site. You’ll handle documentation and contract correspondence through Procore, and you’ll build strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and the client.
In an open-plan office where project teams sit together, you’ll be learning and contributing alongside experienced PMs every day.
What you’ll need
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Contract Administrator in commercial fit-out or refurbishment
- A tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar
- Experience on complex, live-environment or heritage projects
- Strong commercial skills across subcontracts, variations and cost reporting
- Ownership, accountability and reliability, with the ability to see things through
- Procore experience highly regarded but not essential
