About the Role

We are looking for a qualified and passionate cook to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a great, supportive environment. Experience in a dining restaurant setting is highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well with others, and be willing to learn. You must be able to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and have a very good understanding of food and all aspects of a kitchen.

Key Responsibilities examining foodstuffs to ensure quality.

preparing, seasoning and cooking food.

operating cooking equipment.

portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes.

storing food in temperature-controlled facilities.





preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.

cleaning food preparation areas.

plan menus and estimate food requirements.

train other kitchen staff and apprentices.

Qualifications & Skills

Trade Qualifications: Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (or equivalent) with at least 1 year relevant experience.

Knowledge and experience in high-volume food preparation and a quick-paced customer environment.

High level of interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

Proven ability to work effectively under pressure.

Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.

Ability to work both individually and as part of a team
