Data Acquisition Data Engineer | NV1+ /n Melbourne preferred | On-site 3–5 days per week | NV1 minimum /n We are seeking an experienced Data Acquisition Data Engineer to support a large and complex Federal Government data environment. /n This role is focused on the acquisition and movement of data from enterprise source systems into a central data platform. You’ll be building and supporting data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Apache NiFi and Microsoft SQL Server within a secure environment. /n This is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone with strong experience in data movement, integration and ingestion who is comfortable working across enterprise source systems and modern cloud and data platforms. /n What you’ll be doing /n /n

- Build and maintain data acquisition and ingestion pipelines.

/n

- Move data from enterprise source systems into a central data platform.

/n

- Develop data workflows using Azure Data Factory and Apache NiFi.

/n

- Work with Microsoft SQL Server and other enterprise data sources.

/n

- Troubleshoot pipeline, data movement and connectivity issues.

/n

- Support testing, deployment and ongoing operation of data ingestion solutions.

/n

- Work closely with data engineering, platform and technical teams.

/n

- Contribute to reliable, repeatable and maintainable data engineering practices.

/n /n What you’ll need /n Mandatory: /n /n

- At least 1 year of Azure Data Factory experience.

/n





- At least 1 year of Apache NiFi experience.

/n

- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

/n

- Current NV1 security clearance or higher.

/n

- Ability to work in office 3–5 days per week.

/n /n Highly regarded: /n /n

- NV2 clearance.

/n

- Melbourne-based.

/n

- Azure Cloud experience.

/n

- Azure DevOps experience.

/n

- Apache Iceberg experience.

/n

- Exposure to Cloudera.
