Key Responsibilities

Data Discovery & Analysis

- Conduct detailed assessment of source systems, data structures, data lineage, and business processes.
- Analyze and document data entities, relationships, transformation logic, and business rules.
- Identify data quality issues, gaps, and migration risks.
- Work with business stakeholders to define migration scope and priorities.

Data Migration Planning

- Collaborate with Solution Architects and Data Engineers to define migration strategies.




- Review and validate Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) documents.
- Support migration wave planning and data readiness assessments.
- Define migration acceptance criteria and success measures.

Business & Functional Expertise

- Act as the functional SME for key business datasets and reporting requirements.
- Facilitate workshops with business users and stakeholders to gather migration requirements.
- Translate business requirements into actionable data migration specifications.
- Ensure business rules are accurately represented in migration design and implementation.

Data Quality & Governance

- Establish data quality checks and validation frameworks.
- Define reconciliation rules and data validation criteria.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor completeness, consistency, accuracy, and integrity of migrated data.

Data Validation & Reconciliation

- Lead pre- and post-migration data validation activities.
- Perform data profiling and reconciliation between source and target systems.
- Validate data counts, business KPIs, aggregates, and critical business metrics.
- Support testing teams during SIT, UAT, Business Readiness Testing, and Migration Testing phases.

Stakeholder Management

- Engage with business sponsors, product owners, program managers, architects, and delivery teams.
- Communicate migration impacts, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
- Present migration readiness and data quality status to leadership and governance forums.
- Drive issue resolution across multiple stakeholder groups.

Cutover & Hypercare Support

- Support migration rehearsals, mock cutovers, and production deployments.
- Participate in go-live planning and execution activities.
- Validate data integrity post-cutover and support business sign-off.




- Provide hypercare support for migration-related data issues.

Preferred Skills

- Telecom domain experience.
- Experience in enterprise-scale transformation and modernization programs.
- Understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks and Data Engineering concepts.
- Exposure to PySpark, Databricks, Informatica, dbt, or DataStage.
- Knowledge of Data Privacy, PII handling, and Data Masking practices. Concepts such as data masking and migration validation are referenced in migration testing strategies.
- Agile and DevOps delivery experience.
- Experience working with distributed global teams.
