The Role The role is primarily for dental assisting, with full time availability preferred (Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, 7.5hrs per day). Once established in the chairside dental assisting role, you will also be trained in reception duties so you can support the front-desk team during planned and unplanned absences.

Prior dental experience is not required. Many of our valued team members joined us from outside the dental industry, and we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. We place the greatest value on attitude, reliability and genuine care for others.

Key Responsibilities

Dental Assisting (primary responsibilities):

- Welcoming patients and preparing them for treatment
- Preparing surgeries and instruments, including for implant and surgical procedures
- Providing chairside assistance during treatment
- Infection control, sterilisation and instrument reprocessing
- Clinical charting, note-taking and assisting with report preparation
- Routine restocking and chair maintenance
- Coordinating with our clinicians on patient care

Dental Receptionist:

- Greeting and checking in patients
- Managing appointments and follow-up bookings
- Responding to telephone and email enquiries
- Liaising with referring dentists and medical professionals
- Accurate data entry and payment processing

About You

While dental experience is not essential, we are looking for someone who demonstrates:

- A strong ability to learn quickly and take ownership of their work
- A positive, professional attitude and a solutions-focused approach
- A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to support colleagues proactively




- Reliability and punctuality, underpinned by a strong work ethic
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly in a clinical environment
- Empathy and patience, with the ability to reassure patients who may feel anxious
- The ability to remain composed in a busy, fast-paced setting

Advantageous but not essential: experience in dental assisting or reception (particularly surgical or implant assisting), a Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting, and proficient computer skills.

Requirements

- Full working rights in Australia (applicants on working holiday or other restricted visas cannot be considered)
- Willingness to comply with standard infection-control vaccination requirements for dental settings (e.g. Hepatitis B)
